Potato Dextrose Agar is a non-selective and non-differential medium recommended for the cultivation and enumeration of fungi. Potato infusion supplies nutrients necessary to enhance sporulation and pigmentation production. The low pH is favorable for fungal growth, but inhibits bacterial growth that may be present in the background flora. This product is suitable for the detection of heat resistant molds in thermally processed fruits and fruit products. It is a suitable medium for the preparation of Aspergillus niger and Fusaria species.• Product meets AOAC, APHA, BAM, CLSI and Harmonized USP/EP/JP reference methods and performance criteria.• PDA should be used by trained professionals within a laboratory setting. • For in vitro diagnostic (IVD) use.• Product is not intended for use in the diagnosis or treatment of disease or other human conditions.

LB Agar, Miller, also referred to as Luria-Bertani Agar, is a widely used medium in molecular biology applications for maintaining and propagating E. coli. LB Agar, Miller contains twice the amount of sodium chloride as that of the Lennox formulation which allows for the researcher to be selective of the salt content when working with a specific strain. MOLTOX offers a wide variety of LB Agar, Miller plates with the addition of several different types and concentrations of antibiotics to provide a more selective medium for recombinant cells with a specific antibiotic resistance. Used as an industry standard for maintaining and cultivating recombinant strains of E. coli and for the preparation of plasmid DNA, MOLTOX offers a large selection of LB Agars and Broths with plenty of added antibiotics to choose from for a more selective media.
